I built this as my first neck. I did it about 3 years ago and I just decided to see what kind of response I get about it. It has a Purple Heart center, walnut on either side of that and a wood from Brazil called Angeline Pedra. It has an Ebony fretboard and mahogany binding. The peg head overlay is 3 types of veneer- Black wood from Burma, mahogany and lavinga burl on top.

It sounds a lot like a maple neck. I made the peg head a little bit too long and it doesn’t fit into a hard case without really getting it tightly in. I have since made 3 other necks.
Wow, that is pretty! BTW, is that a bank of airliner seats - in your living room??
Why yes it is!!! You win the $10,000 prize.LOL.

Good job! Very nice.
I've been thinking about assymetrical laminated necks, There's one now. Who thought. You did.
I put a mahogany neck on the pot with a different resonator and sold it two years ago. I have since put this neck on the wall until I get another pot built. I have a lot of parts for doing a 26-28 Gibson style shoe bracket pot but with a tone ring. I am going to turn it from some hard rock maple. The resonator that matches the neck is cut to fit this neck.
