Good dark and early morning from snowy Kingston, Ontario. It's -7C now and will hit a high of -4C later. We got dumped on and the electric snowblower came in handy. I finished off with the shovel/plough. It was still coming down so I'll have to go over it again today. Below is what it looked like, "doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door." In a couple of days this stuff will melt away.
Have a great day!
Today it rains in the desert
Have a terrific Thursday everyone.
We got less than an inch of snow, but it’s blustery. Still going for my usual hikes.
This is the main facade of the former high school in town. it’s a large building and now houses a middle school in one wing, the town senior center in another and town offices in the main building. The “new’ high school was built in 1968 and they’re making plans to replace it as it’s about 50% over capacity.
Good Morning from overcast and cool Northeast Wisconsin. Warmer today (27f) and hoping that it will get warm enough to melt off some of the ice on the drive. I am not going to get out with an ice chipper, there are limits.
Greetings from beautiful west-central Man-ee-toe-bah. Seems like a chinook blew in overnite.... -25 C. yesterday, -4 C this a.m. .
After making yesterday's skiff of snow disappear, it's off to the shop for me.... just a few fiberglass odds-and-ends to tend to and then...?? I'm still reconnoitering re. a unit (?) of 3 storage drawers under an extension to the kitchen counter [i.e. a straight counter will be transformed into an L-shaped one].... and all the curved walls don't help a whole heck of a lot. It's not that I can't do the finish work, just that I think I might have more in common with chain saw carpenters than cabinet makers.
Y'all have a good one.
Darn, still no snow here in Southeastern Pennsyltucky! We'll get snow soon, I hope!
Good day from NE Ohio. Cold and a little blustery.
I find myself sitting in front of a raging fire with two dogs taking a nap and the decorated Christmas tree in the corner.
Ah, yes I can hear the soothing sound of that fire as it calms the mood of us all. By the way, did I mention that I don't have a fireplace? Yule log on Roku!
Good dark EVENING from Ozaukee County.
Sounds Japanese, sorta!
Got my booster shot for the Unmentionable Plague today
Then running errands regarding the income property I bought and am doing some small upgrades on.
When I first moved here, it was a 32 mile trip, each way, to take care of my Milwaukee house, which I had rented out.
This place is less than 5 miles away, and needs very little in the way of actual work.
If it turns out to have been a Very Bad Idea, I can survive the loss.
This is why we call this place Port Rainfrew! 71km. up the road.
That's a tad over 45 inches!
