Lately I've been amusing myself by applying my mediocre instrument playing and singing to these compilation videos done with a phone app.  I was happy with how this one turned out.  I'm posting it over here in "other".   It does have tea-box banjo in it, but not "featured" smiley  4 of my home made contraptions and my old Seagull guitar.  Merry Christmas everyone!

I think this should go in the Sound Off forum which is for members to show off their talents and I'll be moving it there.

This looked like a lot of fun! Good job! I enjoyed it, thanks for sharing.

How do you go about compiling multitrack recordings/videos like this?

Thank you!

I use an Android app called Virtual Choir.  I've tried a few of these and I like this one the best.   My phone has an earphone jack and I have a long extension cable and a microphone/earphone splitter.   You record one track and set it as a "base" then you listen to it and play along for the other tracks.  Bluetooth can throw the timing off.   It can still get off a couple of 10th/second, but there is an alignment tool.   Little bit clunky to use, but not too bad.

This app saves and processes all projects on the device instead of the cloud like some of these type apps.  I've managed to use it to collaborate with others a couple of times passing files around online, but that gets really clunky with file managers and what not.

That was great! I don't think I have ever seen a video with this many different simultaneous tracks by the same artist. It must have taken you forever to set this all up, especially with changing your cloths between almost every take!  winksmiley

Thanks!   Yeah I'm thinking about taking this act on the road if I ever figure out the timing problems I'm having live. wink
