On a scale of Zero to FIFTEEN, how do ya FEEL?

Well, a certain peace has fallen over me lately. Hard to explain. I guess it means I am happy and content with my life. Not a bad way to be considering that there are so many unhappy folks. At 74, I am at 15 on that scale.
On another note, I think you too, Mike kinda feel the same way.

To be honest, right now, farty. I think I need to throw away the leftover mashed potatoes.

Give myself 14/15. Really bad left hand cramp, had to stop wood carving after 3 hrs at the bench.
Everything else, house, food, drink, vehicle, I'm fully fit and ready for April.

I think the value has to depend upon how much physical challenge you are prepared to put up with.
Gravity has become my enemy. Climbing stairs from the basement workshop is exhausting.

I feel pretty good except I have a sore arm. Got my booster shot yesterday and this morning I can barely move that arm without pain. But, this, too, shall pass.

In general, I'd say I'm >12 most of the time, and up to 15 on occasion. Compared to the alternatives, life's good.

There is always something to complain about but then when think about it over all we are both pretty good, well into the green side. As Brian says much of much of my attitude is about physical challenges as we age.
My attitude changes after morning coffee.

Terry, ^^ reminds me of when I was trying to dairy farm.

Everything running smoothly.... man, this is the life!!

Then a cow dies.... another has a uterine prolapse [in the far corner of the bush pasture].... a valve fails and there's 6" of water in the barn .... three day rain starts just as I'm getting ready to start baling hay ... etc. ... etc.

But like Sherry notes, this too shall pass.   [....although one of the old(er) gentlemen I used to encounter down at the seniors drop-in - when that was still legal - would bemoan his wonky knee and wonder aloud about starting the process toward knee replacement.  My layman's advice remained constant: Well, it ain't gonna fix itself.]

Thanks for the replies!
The whole thing started when my current Best Gal said she was feeling low, and hoped a nap would improve things.
About then, something jiggled the Big Bucket of Words in my brain, and I noticed that there are very few KEYSTROKES between PERKY and PUKEY.
So I found me a pic of a meter scale, and modified it ever so slightly.

I have been working from home for 1.5 years now and my batteries are running low. I do like autumn and winter but to me they shouldn't last more than three months in total. My mood is a 5 or 6 on that scale...
