A few years back, I bought an R,S. Williams banjo at a yard sale in completely unplayable condition, hoping that I could do something with it.  It sat for a while in a case under a bed until I got talking to my friend Teilhard Frost, who said that he'd give a try at getting it back into playing condition.  Today I got an email from Teilhard and the banjer's ready.  I can't wait for him to bring it down.

This is the banjo the day I got it.

Here are a few photos that Teilhard sent me:

Looks great. I like the fifth string nut. Nice detail.
Happy Playing!

It looks as though it's ready for another 100+ years. And the wooden knobs on the tuning pegs are the icing on the cake.

Give thanks for good friends!

Get those pictures back, as an owner of an 1890s R.S. Stewart Echo 19, I am very interested.

I hope this was a typo/ mistake.  If not, what is a "R. S. Stewart"?
