Good dark and early morning from cloudy Kingston, Ontario. It's currently 8C, will drop to 2C and then rise to 3C with a 40% chance of flurries. Today is the anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas in 1963. On that day I was in the corridor of the Central Building, Loyola College, when Paul Marion came up and told us that JFK had been shot. We didn't yet know that he had died. Later, after the tragic news came out, I walked off campus in the foggy dark with twin female students as we discussed the happenings. If you were alive and old enough to understand, where were you?

Have a great and respectful day,

Another "atmospheric river" hitting us. This one is much further north, Haida Gwaii will get hosed.
More rain and snow along HWY 16 towards Edmonton over the next few days.
Lots of highway accidents, I'm afraid.

Ah well. NOT -40. NOT 75kph wind. I'll make 2 or 3 brush piles of my spruce tree prunings.
Won't take a week for little animals to get in under those with a foot of snow on top. Their breathing creates chimneys lined with exquisite ice feathers..

G’mornin’, everybody. A balmy 50*f (^~* celsigrade) later today.
I remember the JFK assassination vividly,, we were writing a math exam and the principal came in and whispered to the presiding teacher, who was American-born, that the President had been killed. She looked shocked and broke down for a minute, then told us the news.
Photo for today is of a little old wooden “shack” out back.

I was 12 years old and in grammar school. I remember how somber and unsettling it was for quite a while.

JFK and my father and were at Harvard together and dad borrowed JFK's car to drive home and take my mother on a date.

Hard to feel the morning is actually "good".
I went to high school in Waukesha, and am familiar with the area where the driver crashed into the parade groups. Five dead, dozens more injured.

I was at work. We didn't have TV or radio at work but someone came back from a coffee break with the bad news. We all scrambled around the one radio that was found in the building and listened to the tragic news.

Good Morning from clear and cold (18f) wind chill (6f). Winter is here. Watching the story about the Nut Job in Waukesha ramming a car through a Holiday Parade. It will probably be the subject of discussion at the adult morning swim today.
I was in high school when JFK was shot. Was opening night for our school play and it was decided to continue since we were doing 'The MIracle Worker' which was serious enough. First time I wore a full beard as Mr. Anagnos. Did not realize that 15 years later I would grow one and have had one for over 40 years.
Keep warm and stay safe.

Good morning everyone.
I was in high school. I snuck out of a history class during a boring film to watch a Jr high football game at our field. When I got back to class. I was sixteen years old. Things were never the same. That's all I have to say about that.
