Are there any stainless steel and/or phos. bronze banjo strings that don't contain any nickel? Thanks.

Elixir strings have a GoreTex coating over the wound 4th. Available in 2 gauges just about everywhere.

Elixir banjo strings.

The wound strings are also available as singles.

regular steel banjo strings wouldn't have nickel in the alloy. Some electric guitar strings are nickel coated, but that would not apply to banjo strings.

Phosphor bronze alloys have no nickel—copper, tin, and phosphorous, so regular banjo strings with a phosphor bronze 4th, like GHS PF 150 don't have any nickel.

There are several guitar strings that are made of 430 stainless, which doesn't have nickel in it. SIT may have some that would work with a banjo.
