Hello.

I live in Northern California (where there's not much in the way of banjo retailers), and I'm looking to purchase a new Recording King RK-35 or RK-36.

Would anyone have a suggestion regarding a good online retailer? (Someone who does a nice checking-over and setup of the instrument before shipment, for example.)

Thanks and best regards,
Allan

Mike Halloran is a member and an RK dealer there in California with you
He’s very reputable and experienced

Mike is also a seasoned road veteran so set up and adjustment would be a speciality

Banjo Ben is hard to beat. I've ordered from him myself. Jake and Adam are very knowledgeable and friendly if you give them a call.

NorCal is a pretty big place, so they may not be terribly easy for you to get to, but Tall Toad Music in Petaluma (Sonoma County) is a Recording King dealer. Tall Toad. Both Banjo Ben and Ross Nickerson at banjoteacher.com have been good to deal with in my experience.

I purchased my RK from Ross Nickerson at Banjoteacher.com. Ross is a great guy to deal with no complaints at all.

Elderly Instruments in Lansing, MI. Their stock is depleted a bit now, but they are a very good company.

Good luck finding anyone with instruments in stock right now. I have no idea when my back orders are coming in.
