Just saw on Bluegrass Cafe where Sonny passed away today...Anyone have anymore info on this?
Nothing has been posted on Bluegrass Today about it. Hope it isn't true.

Sonny has passed away this afternoon.
i just talked to someone close to the family and its true,,,,so so sad day
It sounds like he had a serious stroke on August 16th. RIP. A banjo giant................
The second generation greats are leaving us in droves.
