Arms. We would fear this opponent. One time in high school we went to wrestle the blind kids, we got whupped.

We had open ice time at the university arena. The School for the Blind had the time slot before us. I played chase with some of the kids - they could follow me anywhere. I was worried about racing behind the goal. No problem for them.

My cousin's wife, back before they were married, worked at a school for the Deaf. The school concentrated mostly on getting around in a word without depending on sign language. The kids were very good at lip reading, and at night, when they were supposed to be sleeping they would look down the hall where my cousin was talking on the phone to her boy friend. The next day the kids would tease her relentlessly about the things she was talking about. If she was scolding them they would just shut their eyes - the equivalent of a kid sticking his fingers in his ears.

My wife took a sign language class, probably because i have a hard time hearing her, but anyway, her teacher told them about not really getting all the sign, she said “in one eye and out the other”
