I am looking for some assistance with a repair. I am needing to find a nut and a spacer (and a bridge). The space can be seen on the last picture which is from a different UB-1 and the nut at the end of one of the retainers. Then, if you can point me in a direction for ordering the correct bridge.

You can tell, this is a new project for me. Thanks in advance for any assistance. ---David

You say you need a nut and a spacer and a bridge. I'm just guessing here. First off, is the nut that you're referring to
the nut on the hanger bolt for your tailpiece? Second , is the spacer that you're referring to, to fill the space at the end
of the fingerboard right by the peg head, also called the "nut"? When you say "last picture", that isn't very descriptive

Sorry, leaving how to navigate this forum - I failed to attach my uploaded pix.  I will try again to post pics and this time with a rudimentary drawing  :)  Thanks for your help.

So, let's see if i can be a little better at description.  I am looking for a nut for one of the brackets (maybe I just get one from my hardware store), there is a spacer between the back and the rim.  I hope that is better.

Sorry Bill, I didn't realize they my uploaded pix had to be attached.  The nut I'm referring to is to one of the brackets on the bowl.  The spacer is between the back and the rim.

Take a hook and nut off the banjo and post a photo. It is hard to see the details of the nut in the picture you provided. Likely a patch will be available.

The resonator spacer will have to be fabricated. I can not imagine anyone having a stash of such a specialized part.

I made this more complicated than necessary.  I went back and took a picture.  From the picture, I don't just need the nut, I need the whole bracket if anyone has suggestions on where to obtain one.  With the help of one of our guys who plays banjo, we will clean it up and restore it.  We are doing this without charge for a lady who's father owned it and is now deceased.

most just make the spacer from a length of appropriate pipe cut to suit. I have a couple of UB2 ukes and the hook and nut looks to be a fairly common type often seen on many older banjos, I am sure Bob Smakula will have one if you give him the exact details.

I have a hook and nut I will donate to the project. I'll contact you via private message to get your address.

Does one just use a tenor banjo bridge?
