Does anyone know of an in-person, bracket style banjo building course, preferably within driving distance of New Jersey? Patrick Sawyer is teaching a course at the Campbell Folk School in 2022, but the class is filled up (I’m 4th on the waiting list).

Even though there are hundreds of thousands of in-person bracket style banjo building courses, I can't think of any near New Jersey.

How near is near?

Here's one north of Appomattox in March of 2022: holidaylake4h.com/banjo-mandol...shop.html

I was going to look up and suggest that one.

I was enrolled a few years back, it ended up being cancelled for lack of registrations. The instructor and I exchanged some emails about personal sessions in his shop in West Virginia, which is closer to me, but we never followed through.

If this class is on again for March 2022, I'll sign up! My own first build is stalled and the class will teach the two main skills I need to tackle next:  inlaying a fretboard and carving a neck.
