I searched for this tab and found this archived BHO discussion... banjohangout.org/archive/169473
The comments in the discussion prompted me to attempt to create my own arrangement. I have to confess that I found the sheet music (traditional notation) and then found the notes on the banjo in the correlating octaves to sound fairly correct. I'm really glad I did this - It has inspired me to try more and hopefully will result in some sort of progress on my banjo journey!

I will clean this tab up if anyone would like to have it but attaching my original scribble for posterity!

Great job!

Transcribing from other instruments then transferring note-for-note to banjo is a great and proven way to expand your banjo vocabulary and broaden your musical horizons. Playing Sanford & Son may be the immediate goal, but the long-term payoff is new shapes and sounds to add to other pieces.

You appear to be accomplished enough to know all that. So this comment is perhaps directed more to moderately experienced players who might wonder why do this.

Thanks for the encouragement Ken! Doing this exercise was empowering and the idea of coming up with an arrangement for the next song is now slightly less daunting.

Hello JKroening,

I love it. I'd like a cleaned up copy, if you have one. I wish I could transcribe music to banjo tablature. Someday.
