Below is a link to a piece from the Rolling Stone about Billy Strings receiving the IBMA Entertainer Of The Year award.

I rather think it's the first time members of a couple (Hull/Moses) have each won an instrumentalist of the year award the same year.

Justin is good enough to win them all. Even the one his wife won, but he's not that way!!

I don't consider Billy Strings a Bluegrass Performer. This statement is not intended to lessen his abilities or popularity. I think his popularity extends way beyond Bluegrass music. His choice of tunes is more similiar to other well know flatpickers like Doc Watson and others. I enjoy watching him demonstrate his playing abilities. One famous former musician said the Grand Old Opry is not interested in a musician until that person is so popular they don't even need the Opry. This may be true in this case as well.

Be warned. I have donned by flame proof underwear.

Some of his stuff is what most people would consider bluegrass, some is not.
