FIFTH scooter I ever owned, but first one from a dealer, NEW, no problems.

Mostly black, with some orange highlights.

My FIRST thought was "It looks too much like a BATMOBILE!"

But a LATER thought was
"It doesn't look ENOUGH like a Batmobile.

So, since I was attaching a milk crate to the back for cargo ANYWAY, and I already HAD a black plastic mat I wasn't using....
A few minutes with a bandsaw, a drill, and some zip ties, and BEHOLD!

Mike, what size engine does it have? Are you required to register scooters in WI? I noticed the plate on the back. Here in CT, if it is under 50cc you do not have to register it.

...Yes... especially flashing ones!! [And so far as regulations go, I've heard that it's better/easier to ask forgiveness than permission].

I'm not critical of Mike's solution, but iffin he and I lived about 900 miles closer to each other.... I've had one of these Vetter top boxes/ rear trunks/??? [minus the lid]

sitting in my shop for probably 15+ years serving as a repository for 12V electrical odds and ends.

...and Mike.... enjoy the **** outa that thing!   Relatives in town here have an electric scooter [i.e. looks like an actual scooter, not a skateboard with a stick on one end].... they like it a  l-o-t.

Around here, you can stick any lights you want on your vehicle, as long as they are not blue.

I had a Honda Metropolitan that I kept at my campsite on the other side of the mountains. It was fine for running into town to get groceries or just putting around the campground at five miles an hour. It did have a bit of a challenge going up a steep hill with me on it, but there was only one such hill on the way to the store. I sold it with the campsite.

Since then, I’ve thought about getting a scooter for running errands around town. Getting the Goldwing out is a bit of overkill. Getting the 1962 BMW started to go get a carton of milk Is similarly too fussy.

Of the small scooters, the only brand I’d consider is Kymco.

There’s a guy in my neighborhood with an electric scooter that looks like a Vespa. It may actually be a Vespa. It seems to have no trouble getting up my very steep hill.

I rode the BMW 650 scooter. I hated it. The seat felt like it was tiny. It didn’t have a lot of oomph to get up the hills here. Then I rode a Suzuki Burgmann 650 that the BMW had taken in on trade. Much quieter, smoother, and more comfortable. And it has a range selector for power or economy. In the power mode, hills were no problem. I’d seriously consider one if I were still commuting.

Should be an onine site where you can calculate mailing costs.

Tell me how much, I'll mail you a Czech.

When it clears as "GOOD", send me the lights.

My ZIP code is 53024.

That should help.

Congratulations on the Kymco Mike. I have had two in the past, a Kymco Like 125 and a Kymco like 200i (which is only 163cc) and I recently repurchased the Kymco Like 200i back again after having sold it around 3 years ago. They do need regular oil changes but are very reliable. Kymco makes parts for Honda and also some older BMW models and probably a lot more brands as well.
I would remove that bike lock you have on the front wheel and replace it with a disc lock and reminder cable. People in the past have forgotten about having a lock on the front when in a rush and end up doing a lot of damage.

This is the link to the US Kymco Forum where there is some great advice to be had.

Born to be Wild.

Nice one Mike. I have scored a couple salvage Vespas. They were never hurt very bad.
Always felt (we live on Coastal Rt. 1) that a tourist would kill me before too long so I reluctantly sold both.
They are fun to ride. I always sang Italian songs while driving.
I do not know any Chinese songs. I suppose you can sing Italian.

Sure I can sing in Italian
Let's all grab our banjos, install SILVIO FERRETTI bridges, and SING!

When you swim in the sea, and an eel bites your knee, that's a moray!
When your space gun is huge, make folks act like a Stooge, that's a Moe Ray!

====================
I will add a reminder cable to my lock.
