I was on my local Craigslist today and I ran across this. It says in the description that it is a copy and it is not being sold as a Gibson. It looks like it has been very well done. The price doesn't seem too bad either. I'm not really interested in buying it because it's a little too far from where I am and I have two great banjos already. What's you all's thoughts? Maybe someone on here lives close and would be interested.
Certainly looks like a good deal if there are no structural issues that are not apparent in the photos.
If anyone played it, and liked the looks, feel and sound, of course it's a good buy at $1000. Not something to "flip" for high profit though.
A LOT of unanswered questions in this ad. WHERE DID THE PARTS COME FROM? I don't know where you can build a parts banjo RB 18 for $1000...
That is cheap, almost too good to be true. I built a 18 copy and I spent twice that amount on parts.
