So excited. In the last few days:

- Bought the low gap / formica model by Kevin Fore, pumped to get that.

- Kyle Creed banjo on Reverb. This is the one I've been wanting! Similar to what you see in the Tommy Jarrell YouTube videos, but obviously not the same one.

Congrats! Lemme know if you get tired of the Low Gap...I think you bought it right before I called Bernunzio's.

haha, will do.  (for real.)  I'm a builder and bought it for research as much as for pleasure.  but that kyle creed banjo, that's just my heart beating my wallet into submission.

Your videos on Youtube are great; I hope to eventually see you playing these banjos as well.

Glad to know you put my money (and a lot more) to good use. I too look forward to hearing you play these.

David!  Ha, yes.  Lots of banjos went into those.  Once i get the measurements and have some fun, I'll probably sell the Kevin Fore banjo.  I didn't anticipate buying both.  I'll also probably sell my Ome Flora.

Thanks again for the commission -- I've gotten lots of feedback from folks who love the video and pics of yours.  I am still taken by the figure on the heel cap.  Hope you're enjoying it!  If you ever decide the goat skin is a pain, just holler the next time you're in Charlotte and I'll replace it with a no-logo Renaissance -- no charge.

That's good to know! Maybe someone will get it, that'll appreciate it...

Hey Kevin!  I was getting ready to email you with news of the Creed :) I believe me, I'll appreciate the Low Gap.  I'm counting the days until I get it (hoping this weekend).  I've listened to a YouTube video of you playing #54 like 100 times.

The day I got your email response (my real name is Lindsay Lewellen, and I emailed you last weekend), I saw the Creed banjo come up for sale.  It's funny that I was asking you about Tommy's banjo, and that a similar one came up on Reverb THAT DAY.  While hard to make work financially (the Creed banjo was even more than I'd anticipated one might be) I'm going to try and keep both.  I have a couple other instruments I could sell.  This is like a dream scenario for me -- to have these two banjos.

I already have someone who is interested in the event I do decide to sell the Low Gap, and I'll keep you posted.  I'd been waiting years for one of yours to pop up used because I've not been able to catch your site when you've had an opening.  Crazy that one of yours AND a Creed popped up within days of each other.

Not sure if you're interested in playing the Creed, but if so I'm happy to bring it out your way at some point.

Hi there.  I believe he's talking about the videos on my YouTube channel.  This link should work -- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyp7Rn4W9Qt5MjnrsG2TxLg.

If not, search "Quail Creek Banjos" in YouTube and that should pull up my channel and videos.

Very nice banjos and great playing.
I have already listened to a lot of your videos
I like them, really like “Little Birdie” on the gourd banjo.

Oh, thanks for subscribing and listening!  The version of Little Birdie I play is similar in spirit to a version played by chance mccoy, though he plays it on a steel-stringed banjo.
