Time for a tune? This is a recording i made with an arch top gibson tenor.(CGDA)
Drums are sampled from an Art Tatum recording. Guitar and bass.
Although mainly a plectrum player..the tenor has to be my fave. Love the sound.
Post some tenor...
Super clean, fancy tenor guitar pickin' from ya' there Craig, enjoyed it, good on you!. ..... Don.
Thank you all. for the good words.
Man, I wish you lived closer to Ontario, craig.
That was a wonderful rendition of Cherokee and I know just how hard that tune is because I play it on my guitar… it’s soooo easy to stumble on that bridge…!
So, great work on that tenor guitar!
Thanks for that Will..You are so right about the bridge..Also it is a lesson as to how one gets back (from the bridge) to the key (in this case Bb) of the song.
Bridge..(C#m - F#- B } ( Bm-E7 A ) ( Am D7 G) (Gm C7 F7) to Bb.
All 2- 5 -1 chord progressions..
That is great. I am impressed. Very professional. Post more like that.
great Playing Craig!
Love the sound of the archtop, I own a gibson flat top and love it but my dream is a archtop....
Nice to be playing these tenor guitars..and you play wonderful. Great chords..
