Good dark and early morning from temperate Kingston, Ontario. It's 21C right now and won't get much cooler. What it might get is wet - showers may be coming. Later it will ride to 26C, but I hope the rain holds off, 'cause we will be cycling in Prince Edward County. The ride will raise funds for MS, and is in memory of my late Tour Leader partner, Mac. We rode sweep together on many MS rides, in PEC and through the Halton Hills. I think this painting was used earlier, but it's a Martin Soldat oil on canvas called "County Colours" (and I hope the weather will be like the painting and we'll see that barn). We were in Bloomfield with our late dog Angus. The Mrs. said she'd watch him while I went into the gallery, but the woman inside said she loved dogs and bring him in. So the Mrs, came in and, while the gallery woman was fussing over Angus, the Mrs. asked how I liked "that one". So we ended up with it - thanks to Angus.
Have a great day!
good day all. The painting brought back memories from walking the long walk home ( in my bare feet) after a day at the swimming hole.... the long hot dusty never ending stretch....seeing the barn, knowing that I'm half way home......
Have a super Saturday everyone
Good Morning from clear and sunny Northeast Wisconsin. Sun just trying to come up. Losing 3 minutes of daylight every day. Soon will have to start closing windows and start up the fire place to knock the chill off.
Have a good day, stay safe.
Snow on the Chugach and Talkeetna mountains all around me. Freeze warnings announced for tonight. Sure was a short summer. At least we did not have any forest fires, record heat or drought this year.
