It's a constant battle for me! I used to work at a place with a lot more ladies. When i couldn't find something they would say... "You look like a Man!" I would say .. "I hope so!"

I have places in the fridge where I keep certain items. Most times I look they are not there. When I start cussing & digging around in there she gets angry & says you look like a man! ( never should have told her that).

Sometimes she says "Did you look Under anything?" Why would I hide something on myself?!

I used to have that same problem with Dave: he couldn't seem to find anything and would go rummaging around in every nook and cranny and would also end up griping and cussing.

I usually ended up telling him to "look on the ceiling" because that's about what he was doing. Usually I found whatever it was just where it was supposed to be (unless he had moved it and didn't tell me).

Well, all 3 of my kids were just as bad about looking for things.  I'd go right to them and then tell the kids to look on the ceiling.   They didn't understand until they were nearly grown how my weird, sarcastic sense of humor was.

And now, guess what?  They tell their husband and kids the same thing.   It's passed on from generation to generation.

Men and children don't really change  now, do they? (G)

Referring to food, I say that "If I don't see it, it doesn't exist."

On the other hand, the Mrs. often comes home with stuff we already have. There are lots of unopened boxes of cereal hanging around.

same song, different house.  I know where I put my stuff, including items put in or returned to fridge.

But it is at least weekly that I go to find an item or she asks me to get something from the fridge, and I can't find it.  She get for too great a satisfaction to follow after me and in seconds has the item.  Then I ask, where did you find it.  Turns out it was a shelf down, a drawer over, and behind the, or under the...

She says I do not look hard enough...And she is right! it is just not worth the effort. Same thing applies to the pantries.  And how often do several objects fall to floor while you dig, argghhhh

I thought it was a B&W image.  ;-)  Brad
