Good dark and early morning from cool Kingston, Ontario. It's 12C now and will hit 23C later, under mostly sunny skies. Yesterday was a good day for a ride, returning from downtown via Montreal Street, Kingston Mills locks, John F. Scott road (puff! pant! uphill), Abbey Dawn Road (blasting downhill) and Highway 2 (another uphill torture test). There was a turkey vulture standing over a dead squirrel on JFS Road - ruffled its wings as I passed. "I'm not dead yet; don't take a chunk out of me!"

Painting: Peter Clapham Sheppard, "A Northern Lake", oil on canvas.

Have a great day!

Good Morning from cool and clear Northeast Wisconsin. Smoke supposed to be drifting in later today and rain forecast for tomorrow.
Getting ready to stay home this coming weekend, never go out on holiday weekends, too many nutz on the road. MIght meet with some friends, BBQ and a few barley pops, good company and conversation.

Bad bad flooding and lots of tornado reports down here in PA and NJ. A lot of major rivers are above records, and not surprising, seeing how the entire area in SE PA got about 6 inches of rain the past day.

However, nice and cool and sunny now! Cool temps in the 50s F. tonight! Can't travel much, because the Brandywine River has overcast its banks by almost 15 feet, so cant get "out".

Have a nice beautiful day everyone!

Good morning from the western part of Cape Cod, where we did not have a restful night. Two tornado warnings, high winds, ample thunder and 6.53" in the rain gauge this morning - the most I've ever collected in a 24-hour period. And most of it fell in under seven hours.

Geez, you guys are making me feel guilty............. well, almost.

We're off to theMay be a cartoon of text that says 'MOBS FALL CAMPOUT'

[MOBS = Manitoba Old Tyme and Bluegrass Society].

The "campground" is set up for RVs, not for camping..... "in our wisdom" we picked the lone spot with a shade tree........... BUT it's also a low spot where two swales (?) meet. So given my druthers I'd just as soon the rain stayed away.   However, there is a honkin' big building available in case of inclement weather.

I hope everybody gets thru things okay.... and has a good day.
