Just realized that my "Walkin' That Banjo Home " CD is over 20 years old this year. Think it was one of my best from that era--but only have about a dozen hard copy left & won't be re-ordering any more hard copy CDs--since it is just too difficult to haul them around and store them myself and they are available digitally. But I know some folks still like to have the hard copy CD. (I still play all mine--I just bought one of those Victrolla's that plays vinyl, CDs , flashdrives and blue tooth and it plays music just fine around the house--it could even sound better if I'd hook it up to good speakers :)
Anyway--if you'd like one of the hard copy CDs--its available right on my website and you can order it there until they are gone. Its got lots of good clear clawhammer banjo on lots of good tunes too. :) Also--there is a tab book of simple clawhammer tabs for the tunes on this CD if you are interested.
20 years pass all too quickly. That was a nice album of music.
Thanks David for your kind words. After 21 years of recording--it is very interesting to me that different folks only seem to know about certain CDs in certain time segments. Also, over the years--have had 3 different fiddlers on some of the CDs.
1.Kay Van Trees plays a little old time fiddle on Vintage Banjo(1999), Walkin' That Banjo Home (2001) & Chickens Crowin At Midnight (2003)
2. Kerry Blech plays a little old time fiddle on Florida banjo (2008)
3. Tim Gardner plays fiddle on Blue Sky Banjo (2015) Goodmorning Banjo (2017), Carolina Banjo (2019) & the Adventures of Dulcimer Dawg (2021)
We tried to make each cd something unique and with tunes you'd like to hear more than once. A lot of folks only have 1 or 2 of my recordings thinking they will all sound the same--but they don't. I highly encourage anyone who only has the first 3--to try some of the later ones for listening.
