What's going on with office chairs, drones, & Foosball tables?

I'm getting sometimes as many as six e-mails a day, trying to sell me drones, office chairs, and Foosball tables.
I "blacklist" them, so messages from THOSE people will never show up, but I get more of the same, from OTHER vendors.

All you have to do is click on any of those items once and suddenly you're receiving all sorts of spam and advertisements. Clear cookies and that will help get rid of at those ads/spam.

If you have searched for any of those things sometimes they will get your email address and spam the hell out of you. I searched on getting a windshield fixed on my truck, never entered my email on any website, and started getting spam about fixing my windshield.

Suggest you use DuckDuckGo for your search engine instead of Google. Google records your search history and DDG does not. It does not stop the spam but it reduces it a lot. Another is to establish a dummy e-mail address on gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc. so that the spam to your main e-mail address gets reduced.

You could always turn off Google tracking or tracking by other advertisers. I don't get spam or targeted ads (in fact I get almost no ads at all). If something insists on ads like some TV programmes I use a different browser for that. I don't even use DuckDuckGo.

Blacklisting criminal operators rarely works these days because the sender addresses are spoofed.  If you don't open the email within a certain time they will simply send another, using a different address.

Even "legitimate" businesses use this tactic.  Some days I get 30+ emails from Jegs Auto Parts.  I haven't done business with them in 15 years.  I can understand corporations being run by unethical people.  What puzzles me is the mindset of their clients, who apparently don't mind the abuse.
