I have this prewar gold plated clamshell from a style -6 that I want to sell. It has two issues, one of the string hooks broke off (before I got it) and the back part is a little bent. The tailpiece, however is still functional with no cracks. Not the perfect specimen of a prewar clamshell tailpiece, but it works fine and sounds great. Not sure what it’s worth with the issues, but I was told by a collector that it's worth about $450 but I'd take $350 or best offer. Feel free to reach out if you’re interested.
