Hey I've recently been trying to play the Rising Appalachia songs. Does anyone have any tabs or suggestions in understanding their style? Specifically right now I'm interested in the way they play "Say Darlin Say". I'd appreciate any ideas that can help me figure out how to play that song similarly to the way they do it! thanks
It sounds like the banjo tuning is in aDADE, otherwise fairly straight forward clawhammer.
Try this: https://clawhammerbanjo.net/clawhammer-tune-and-tab-of-the-week-say-darlin-say/. It is not Rising Appalachia but it is the same song.
Here's a link to a version on YouTube - (537) Say Darlin' Say - YouTube
In 2012 there was a request for help with this tune. I suggested looking at Ken Perlman's "Clawhammer Style Banjo" book for tab.
Rising Appalachia seems to play a fairly standard version of this tune.
