Have a super Saturday everyone
Had a fairly crappy Friday!
The great big box with the assemble-it-yourself doghouse in it, which I had lashed my car's roof rack, only fell off ONCE, at 70 MPH, and was only struck by ONE other vehicle.
Being plastic, it was undamaged, but the struggle to get it back up, and tied MUCH better, took a while.
Since i was now 90 minutes late for supper, I got to where I was taking it, got it OFF the roof, and headed out.
About 20 miles down the road, cell phone rings. In my haste to hasten, I had left my BANJO at Ralph's.
NOT going back.
My supper (and picking) destination has at least THREE spare banjos, one made by me, and the other two modified by me.
Supper was good.
Hope today, for all y'all, is far less upfucculated for all y'all, than yesterday was, for me!!
Good Morning from HOT and Humid Northeast Wisconsin. Second nasty day in a row. Weather guy says that we normally don't get these kind of days, maybe one or two annually but that doesn't help much today. Another good day to stay in and find inside chores and some pickin'.
Cloudy (we can see them) and 12C, quite clear air which is nice.
Still thousands evacuated down south. Does their town burn?
Wind shift has doubled the trouble.
Big crew of 100 fighters has arrived from Mexico, other teams from eastern Canada.
Fences burnt down, injured cattle and horses wandering all over the place.
Do not consider coming to British Columbia for a holiday just yet.
And before I foreget, have you got any DIY construction plans which might be using Canadian lumber?
Buy it now. Soonest. Because of the fires, logging has stopped in many places.
Supply and demand will bite you.
