Does anyone play Clawhammer or 2 finger tunes in 3/4 time?

I’m pretty much burned out on bum-dit-ties. I’m finding the “-ties” very annoying now. I do have a coupla other books which have stuff that I like, but I’ve got three waltzes which I’ve really been enjoying lately.

I just wondered if maybe someone else found them interesting

Lots of people.

At the most basic, frailing in 3/4 time is just bum-ditty ditty instead of bum-ditty. I find two finger thumb lead suits it a little bit better - thumb, pinch pinch, thumb pinch pinch, bumpa-dit-dit.

Chip Arnold has many beautiful waltzes on his page, played in two finger index lead.

Banjo waltzes can be very nice. I've posted two that I've sort of made up, plus "Norwegian Wood (This bird has flown"), and maybe others. I'll put links here.

Tombigbee Waltz is one of my favorites. That, and Down in the Willow Garden. Found a video for the latter where I learned it: youtube.com/watch?v=kUIqajyTE0E

Since clawhammer is a finger lead, 2-finger style, most of what I do can be easily matched with clawhammer. Sometimes I bring my thumb down over my finger which is not as easy with c'hammer, but everything else is not hard, just maybe a bit different.
Winder Slide is a pretty one that's easy to play.
