Can someone tell me the weight of an original Mark Leaf banjo case?

Years ago I owned a Mark Leaf case for a classical guitar, and if I remember correctly (questionable) I think it was 18-20 lbs or so. Maybe someone on BHO has one they can actually weigh to be sure. It is a heavy case.

I bought a Mark Leaf banjo case in the early-mid 1980s.  Sold it about a year ago.  It was about 19 pounds, give or take a half a pound.

I had a slightly different model.  With the top tension, it was 32+ pounds.

Beautiful case though.

Waiting for someone to chime in about hearing somewhere that JD Crowe broke a neck in one of these several decades ago (therefore implying they ain't so good afterall).  smiley

The version I had came with foam and lining material to construct wedges that hold the peghead, from below and above.
