Hello, my dear banjo friends! Please forgive me I come to forums not as often as it was before...
I was learning this song on banjo about 3 or 4 years, it was so hard for me I don't know why, but filally I recorded it!

Wish you a happy summer, dear banjo friends!!! Love you!

Tell me please what do you think about my playing and singing. I need your opinion. Thank you in any case!

love it ! I've been playing around with this song, in clawhammer, for over a year now and come nowhere near what you have done here ! First of all I don't sing and that makes it harder. George Harrison capoed at the 7th fret (I think) and I sound really bad there.

Glad you posted...very nice arrangement and playing !

Well played, sung and mixed. Nice job.

You may find it interesting that the family across the street from me is from Uzbekistan. Exactly where I don't know, but the husband told me he also speaks Tadjik.

Was it Rob Bishline's arrangement, by any chance?

Doesn't matter that it's not your arrangement. It's your performance. And you did great. It's not an easy piece.

I really like what you do--the music, knitting--all of it. As a former banjo teacher I noticed in your "Spellbound" video that you kind of have fly- away fingers--that's when your fingers are moving far away from the finger board as you play. I suggest you gently work on that. The ways I know of to work on that problem is to play something and watch your fingers. As you watch them try gently to shorten the stroke. Take your time on this. Don't rush it. Watching your fingers and thinking 'smaller movements' should help you to play more precisely and eventually faster, if that is a goal.

It's just as good if not better, than any version anybody has recorded including the Beatles.

She does a nice job. Thank you.

I’m sorry but her version is not better than the original Beatles version. It simply complements it!

It’s gentle and it makes me smile. I grew up on the Beatles’ music and you have captured the spirit of it. The banjo sounds so beautiful. Your voice sweetly expresses the sentiment. Are you doing a lot with your music these days? Do you perform much?

But think about how much better it would have been if there was.

Beatle songs are good songs to play on the 5 string. They should have used the 5 string on a couple of their songs.

JanetB dear, how I glad to see you and read your comment, my friend! No, I didn't played banjo for a long time now... I recorded this song in the end of the last year. Now shame on me, I had depression mood and didn't played much music. But now I'm better so I return to music, composed a little tune I posted here also and I want to play again blush

I pushed the "Like" button on every your comments, thank you sooo much for listening and for your support!!!heart

Possum Fat you're right, I'm working on it. I play already many years but I'm still not speedy banjo player. Sometimes I can play faster when I practice everyday and many hours each day, but now I lost my skills because I didn't play for a long time again. I will work on my fingers, yes, I know this secret that they must be closer to strings and make less moves, I will try to practice! Thank you for your advice! I love advices because I'm learning, I need opinion from musicians to become betterblush Thank you very much!
