BHO is an amazing resource. Do you know of any site that approaches its awesomeness, focusing on fingerstyle guitar (especially Travis picking)?
There are some groups on Facebook that are for fingerpickers, Travis-pickers, stride- ragtime pickers. There’s also the Acoustic Guitar Forum which deals with all kinds of styles.
Thanks Chuck. I did a quick search on Facebook but nothing jumped out at me. I'll do a more careful search. Thanks for the tip.
And I'll finely check out that forum.
Thanks so much!
Thanks again @chuckv97
I had already joined one of those. Didn't see the blues one, which is awesome since that's what I'm most interested in.
Appreciate the help :)
The AGF is about the best acoustic guitar sites I’ve found. It’s not quite as collegial as the Banjo Hangout, but still pretty good. It seems to me to be more focused on instruments than technique (especially compared to the BHO), but there are lots of threads on playing.
There are a few more acoustic blues groups on FB.
For a while, back in the 70's, Travis style picking was a hot thing among bluegrass banjo pickers. You don't hear it too much anymore.
Thanks again for the info folks :)
