Yes, indeedy!!  [Although, happily, in this case I can only speak about what I've heard, not what I've experienced.]

And in the interest of conservation:   https://www.pinterest.com/pin/761108405769846348/

What do you call a person that wants to talk a lot about preserving the environment?

A conservationalist.

You've posted a photo of non-toxic Striped maple (Acer pennsylvanicum) carolinanature.com/trees/acpe.html though I suppose you meant to post an image of poison ivy.

I posted two pictures.

One (according to AOL image search) is maple leaves, the other (according to AOL image search) is poison ivy.

My screen shows two pictures.

If your screen shows only one, I can't fix it from here.

Not to be cantankerous but rather a desire to stir up a heated set of fisticuffs, I'm fairly positive the latter is Toxicodendron radicanspoison ivy.

Mike, that was exactly the situation, only the first image showed, so now that both are there all makes sense, sorry.

Cool.   I've always thought Verne wicked cool and smart.  Poison ivy tip of the day.  If you even think there's to be some around, don't weed eat in shorts

Wouldn't be easier to just carry a roll of TP in your day pack?

@ Vern: That's OK.
Sometimes, electrons just wander off, and entire pages won't show up.

@Glen: Of course it would.
But the people who are not well-informed enough to do that, had dang well BETTER be well-informed enough not to grab the wrong leaves.

You could always do what Bigfoot does and use a bunny.

I figure that bog-roll never over-ripens or melts or otherwise "goes off". Therefore,
there are 1/2 rolls scattered throughout my day boxes, camping stuff and the good ol' Suburban.
Original intended purpose, nose-blow, finger wipes, fire starter, all kinds of good things.

In fact, for the past year+ , I have bought rolls by the case. 4 x 12 roll shelf packs in each. The box lives in the back of the Burb. Same for nose-blow.

The leaves of a mulberry tree are large, they would come in handy as tp,bonus if in season you could always snack as you relieve yourself before the, ahem, paperwork is done.

When I was younger I'd just carry old Sears Roebuck catalogs along for toilet paper. But I tell ya, these newfangled pdf files on a flash drive just don't seem to do the job.

Well, Mike, I am perplexed because with the computer I am using right now, I still see only the first image. The text that accompanies the second is there, but not the image. Annoying to say the least.

I don't get to see the 2nd image on my work laptop (win10) but I do see it on my mobile. Might be some filtering going on.

Only camping tip I can come up with is "don't, or, "stay home."

That would put a slightly less jolly tint on the popular nursery rhyme 'here we go round the mulberry bush'

I live in the Boreal Forest. The circumpolar Taiga. Twigs off my spruce trees are NOT what you are looking for.

I drive my 97 Burb 2X per week if all goes well. Maybe 2 miles, each trip around the village.
As a daily driver if I was working? Forget it. It's easy for me to climb in and out of.

Wow! I didn't realize that photography had been invented before the Maple Laughs won the Stanley Cup.
