Good dark and almost morning from wet Kingston, Ontario. There's a severe thunderstorm warning. No kidding! It's happening right now! (I have the computer on battery to avoid a power surge.) It's 19C now, and may hit 24C later, with more risks of showers and lightning. Painting: John Stuart Pryce, "The Island at Bridgewater".

Have a great day!

Fish & chips in the oven. Watching the roof drip. Weather radar shows big rain coming after midnight.
Made coffee and reset all the digital clocks again this morning. Typical McBride. I'm not even curious any more to learn why. It was less than a minute, I know because it takes a long time for the stove clock to die and it was OK.
Won't make +20C/68F tomorrow in the wet. Oh well. Not a cold and snowy winter blizzard with 5-6 hours of daylight.

The grape vine flower clusters are about to open, it's always a spring/early summer event that is a pleasure to watch the bumble bees do their job.

Good Morning from clear and sunny Northeast Wisconsin. Back from a week of traveling out to Eastern Washington to see first grandson graduate from high school at 16. Trip was kinda spur of the moment and we flew but I am not eager to spend hours in a flying sardine can. Next trip out will be in a comfortable train sleeper room.
Had a good time with grandkids, Daughter and Son-in-law.
But glad to be back home.
Have a good day.

Good morning from upstate NY ,
Had a little rain last night & cloudy now , I think a repeat of yesterday except an enjoyable cool breeze so far today .
Many berries coming on our huge mulberry tree that the birds & critters will enjoy .
Enjoy your Monday

Good morning from hot and arid Grand Junction. My wife and I are going to Jeep up into the high country to get some relief. Have a great day, my friends.

Good morning from my humble abode.
Bathroom and kitchen sinks share a common drain, which is badly clogged.

Took them apart, reamed as best I could.

HARD CHUNKS of whatever!

Reassembled, poured in drain cleaner, am letting it sit while water boils for a flush.

Wish me luck.
Oh, just wish me L.

No predicted rain in the night but almost branch-busting windy.
Looking at a week+ of no more than 65F. Jacket for the wind, that's going to be it.
I sympathize with those of you stuck in the heat. Live on the floor with the dogs & cats.
Not hard to recall what +47C/117F feels like.

Mike , Same problem here w/ crud in the kitchen drain ----  was able to reach the drain w/ the garden hose & make a seal so it wouldn't leak & then put water pressure thru the line which helped but it's sill not draining like it should . Tried getting to it w/ a metal snake or drain cleaner but there are several 90 degree bends & it's a very long run so couldn't succeed w/ that .  This is an old house w/ old drains & old occupants so it sucks but won't drain .

Drains. I had a "fat-berg" in the trap under the relatively new kitchen sink plumbing.
Took a lot more boiling water than I imagined to clear it away.

The sink in the main upstairs bathroom has one of those little plunger-knob things to seal the sink drain as required. It's draining very slowly these days. From experience, I learned that I have to take it apart, lift the stopper out and clean all the cat hair off it. Yeah. It's mechanical, it's cat hair. Same in the bathtub drain. A pair of disposable vinyl plastic gloves makes the whole mess a little more approachable.

Had a new c-top installed in kitchen with Undermount sink. The wife is very happy. Just fix in up the old abode. Enjoy the day, all.
