I've asked years ago and turned up nothing. Thought I'd ask again in case anything's changed.

So, is there any type of bluegrass or Americana jam in the lower Delaware/Ocean City, Maryland region? Any places to hear bluegrass music that aren't listed in the local beach papers?

I know there's a festival/fiddlers convention in Berlin in September. Anything on a more regular basis?

Thanks.

Castaways campground resort has a bluegrass festival in sept but covid crap has put a lid on it. Dont know if they are doing it this year. Check out the seawitch festival in Rehoboth Del. In oct. A bluegrass competition goes on during it. Youll have to check to see if covid paranoia is still in effect

You might try a little north of there. Oscar Brand's "Something to Sing About" starts off:

I have walked on the strand of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland
Laxed on the ridge of the Miramichi
Seen the waves tear and roar on the stone coast of Labrador
Watched them roll back to the Great Northern Sea

Since the Grad Banks are underwater, any attempt to sing it authentically would go:

Glub glub glub, glub...

:-)

I saw Castaways on a band's calendar yesterday, but a direct search turns up what appears to be a different location for the Bluegrass By The Bay Festival. So I don't know.

Thanks. But Delaware-Maryland seashore is where we go and where I'll be.
