I moved to the midwest a while ago for graduate work, but in two weeks I'm moving home to Waynesboro, PA, right in the heart of Cumberland Valley. I'm wondering if anybody might know of any jam sessions in that area. It's no too far for me to travel into Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia.

I've been playing for about two years, I think I have the basics of Scruggs style and recently begun to work on Reno style. I know that I'm not going to get much further if I don't find some opportunities to play outside of my living room.

I know bluegrass pickers in Chambersburg and Gettysburg they aren't far off. You will find them if you look around. Check out the Seven Mountains Bluegrass group. I have a friend in Chambersburg who writes for them. That would be the key. I just get through there once in a while but the bluegrass scene has been good there for decades.

I only know about Irish sessions, but know a few people in the area who would know. Can you please send me a private message as a reminder? I have a lot going on right now and don't want to forget to post back here about this but would like to help you.
