Darol Anger has just released a live recording of a Psychograss show from 2002. It's available for download on the Darol Anger Bandcamp page. This is a great album from a fantastic band and Tony is really on top of his game, as is the whole band.
Darol Anger: Fiddle, Mike Marshall: mandolin, Tony Trischka: Banjo, David Grier: Guitar, Todd Phillips: Bass
Notes from the site: This recording is a very nice digital board mix by Mark Mulqueen from Silent Partners Sound, of a particularly ferocious Psychograss show at the Vergennes Opera House in Vergennes, Vermont on May 4, 2002. Thanks to Chris White for arranging this show!

I followed your link and listened to quite a few of these cuts. Wow, I never realized that this was at heart, a jam band. This is some really great arrangements that they then expand out into extended jams ... cuts 5+ minutes, one cut 9+ minutes. And it's all crystal clear sound.
Great stuff. Thanks for posting this.
I have a love hate thing with Tony's music of old. He was as cutting edge, as the light touch dexterous ones that some some say went further(but not I) with some good ideas and some that were out of my taste range. He could do JD and Earl type playing with the best of them. I'll have to give that a listen
