Gun law experts ,,, and I don't care if you're pro or con....
I saw a pop-up ad ON THE HANGOUT  for this, and wondered:

IF a double-barreled SHOTGUN may not be sawed off shorter than 26 inches, what about a piece which began life as a pistol, right from the factory?

Is the fact that it uses BLACK POWDER, instead of SMOKELESS, which makes it legal?

Pretty sure that the shootee wouldn't care that the slugs or pellets were propelled by one kind of powder or another, IF the shootee were healthy enough to complain, after being shot.

Mike, not so much the powder as the fact that it is a muzzle loader. Today that is not legally considered to be a "firearm", but for those first two shots it sure acts like one! I think that is a good looking novelty item that would be fun to shoot. I would not consider it a defensive firearm unless I had no other options. Fired indoors you would have at the least a mess on your hands and at worse could set your house on fire.

Thanks, Figmo.
Not planning to obtain one, but if I did, before pulling the trigger, I might want to kiss my wrist goodbye.
Looks like it might have a LOT of kick to it.

I had the good fortune to shoot trap (12 ga) with a guy who loaded black powder instead of the usual smokeless. It was a sight to behold.
There is the clue.
Two shots, indoors with that "thing" and you won't be able to see anything until you get all the doors and windows open.

I think the legal limit here is 24 inches. Having fired a sawn off, the safest place to be is in front of it smiley as the other guys have said, for home defence, it would put down a very good smoke screen!

Here in Canada, I believe the minimum length for a shotgun barrel is 18".
They drop the stick down the muzzle and get so disappointed to find all my guns are 19".
I've been told that a few of the fuzz have rubber rulers, just to be jerks.

Our grouse are forest birds. You need a short-barreled, fast swinger to have any chance at all.
3-4 pellets of 7 1/2 will put them down when you can swing through them as they jump up.
Any "cowboy action" s/s 12 coach gun is ideal to put suppers on the table.
