Looking for information about a banjo builder, Andy Kardos, who built open-backs in the early 80s, I believe, in or around Swannanoa NC. He also built lap and hammered dulcimers, possibly even fiddles or other instruments. I had the good fortune of playing Old Time music with Andy on a few occasions back in the mid-70s (long time ago!). Any information about Andy's banjos or current whereabouts, if indeed he's still living, would be appreciated. Thanks.
Also, Andy and his wife Sue and a couple of others recorded in the late 70s an LP album of Appalachian tunes. The album was titled "Straight Furrows in Uneven Ground -- A Southern Appalachian Mountain Music Sampler." While I can locate LPs of the album, and would then have a service convert it to digital, I'd prefer getting a copy of a digital version, if indeed it exists. Thanks again.

I just bought a copy off discogs by your recommendation. I didn't know the musicians or this tiny record label. Discovering new music's been a passion since birth, long story. And much of the reason I've been on BHO for nine years is for the deep knowledge on here--grateful for it. Thanks!
