Well after resisting and shaking my head at folks for purchasing a $45.00 thumb pick over the years, I broke down and bought one. The Acoustic Shoppe in Springfield MO. Started carrying them and I wanted to throw a little business their way.
I have to eat Crow (Crowe);) I love it!!! I bought the JD Crowe one with the shorter blade. The tone is so clear, and I can’t even tell I have a thumb pick on.
I was wrong, its a great pick. Once I got it all adjusted to my thumb and started playing, it was instant satisfaction.

I tried one that a friend has and I was impressed with it too! Really feels good on the thumb. Very lite weight.

IF they fit you, they're fantastic. That blade material is great.
Problem is that they are not very adjustable and don't fit many of us. Plenty come up for sale in Classifieds for that reason. So, you're lucky.

I can understand that. I had to make a slight adjustment to get a good fit. It was not easy and could tell it was not made for adjustments.

All I did to mine was file down the blade a little. It feels and plays great.

I couldn’t see myself paying that much for a pick either, but then I did and the change was astounding. It comes off the strings so easily. When we’re surrounded by hype it’s always a surprise to find something that lives up to it.
