Why did you take the head off??  Seems to me that putting the head back on should remedy the problem, no??

Try filling it with spoons.

First drill it out to 12". Then you'll be able to fit a proper head on it.

A huge cork should fill that hole, and it will have the added advantage of killing those nasty unwanted overtones.

I am truly impressed with the depth of thought in each response.

Can't locate my butt.

I laughed it off.

Isn't duck tape more like a trampoline.

But Mr. Politzer got the Politzer Prize for the most content in 5 words.

Why, does Doug Knecht have a head with an 11" hole in his head there?

Spackle, lots and lots of spackle. Get the kind that is pink when it's wet and white when it's dry because it's going to take that much a loooong time to dry out. Unless you put it in my garage and then it will be dry in 45 minutes even if you put it in an air tight double sealed container.

Place the rim sideways into a vice and tighten the vise until it is closed. The hole will disappear.

Tape off the back, fill it with epoxy. Done and done.

Fill it with salad then send it to Mike Gregory.

People are filling their emptiness by eating toast. The egg came first.

Iron on patches do the job for tears. Skateboards carry dreams.

The people play wood tops with holes for sound at open mikes, no patches needed.

Joel Hooks, keep trying, we'll keep rolling grounder home runs until we run out of baseballs. Pick 'em up and throw to home instead of throwing it out of the park. Otherwise I can't yet applaud the poor quality of your offerings.

It was suggested stuffing the rim with , well, stuffing, so I got some day old bread crumbs, salt, pepper, celery.
I can't keep the stuffing in the rim, though, it keeps falling out the other side, so I laid it flat on a table, this works until you move the rim.

I want to patch this hole. Dan Pennington had the same problem, see his Avatar.

A little more imagination, please. I'm sure this will help the tribe. I have rims traveling around the world, same problem.

"I have rims traveling around the world, same problem."

I wouldn't advise advertising all those rims sent "around the world" that you admit have a problem.  devil

Superglue and a whole lot of baking soda. Although I don't believe in soda for nut slots, it may come in handy here.

What if you were to stretch some type of animal skin over the opening and somehow put tension on it around the perimeter? Then, maybe some strings... Yeah, that's the ticket...

Let's say some ripples are happening as these suggestions rise without much distrubance at the surface.

Noggin, use yer noggin. I got a hole in a rim that won't go away.

Joel, I laughed out loud. Thanks.   He's trying, Nate, he plays in B Natural, he'll get better at it with time.  B patient,

Do not wear the resonator on your head unless it fits.

Do not look out the little hole in the football helmet, turn the helmet more to the right and look out the big hole.

This is like ground hog day.

11" I measured while it was rollin' around.

Ream it out to 13”. The hole, and in fact the whole problem, will be gone.

That means that there is no rim at all and thus no real problem, unless, of course, the 11 inch hole is in the side of the rim.

Or perhaps, this is a metaphysical hole, and a psychic should be consulted. It may turn out that this rim's hole simply requires a medium crown head.
