I haven't been on the BHO for a while, and no longer can find the post Ken made about the short scale Banjo Lute he made for me.

I have had this fine little instrument for a few weeks now and want to say it is a fine piece of work. Absolutely beautiful, intonation is perfect, action is perfect, and it plays like a dream.

I will be traveling to WV this Summer, and plan to post some videos of this instrument being played by me and my friends, some you will recognize.

I do not have the equipment to record decent videos or I would already have posted something. The instrument is not nearly as loud as a banjo, but that is what I wanted with this. It is intended for small gatherings around the campfire, living room, or back porch to accompany singing. It has a very warm, and pleasant tone which I love.

Ken Levan is a one man tornado of new ideas and superior craftsmanship.
And just a good person to boot.

Ken, would love to put in an order for one of your lutes but unfortunately with the dollar difference between USD and AUD plus GST and import tax it would be very expensive but hopefully our dollar may improve in the future so I will still keep my hopes up.

Cheers, Paul
