I have no connection with the sale of this banjo other than I almost bought it for myself. I just couldn't justify it but maybe some of you can. It looks like a decent deal for a relatively rare banjo. Good luck!!

Fantastic banjo. I just sold one like it and regretted it so much that I bought another one. Ive honestly never had a banjo that handled all styles as well as the one I own now (which is technically a later model "Ode".)

A very fine banjo at a good price. I have the same one, which I bought new in 1973. It was my first resonator banjo.
Geez, someone buy this before either I do or these guys realize what they have:
JMiller the $1250 asking price is about right if it's in good shape with a hard case. I've seen these as low as $900 in very good shape. $1000 is fairly common too. Along with vintage USA Fender Artist models, this is the best banjo buy in the bluegrass world. IMHO
I bought a 1980 Ode Style C about a month ago as my first upgrade banjo from my Deering Goodtime and I cannot be more happy with it. It sounds amazing and plays great, it could probably sound a lot better but that's not the banjo's fault - that's mine. If you do buy it, you will not be disappointed.
