Jim,
Forgive my ignorance, but how much do these weigh and do they have a rim of regular thickness or is it a thin rim?
Thanks,
Ken

I don't remember the specific banjo, but this one sounds great.

Hey Ken, I haven't hit the scales with this one but I'm guessing no more than 8 1/2 pounds. These rims were machined a tad thicker than the ones in later years. Also in the picture of the bottom side of the tailpiece area you can see the veneer cap over what is a block rim. Veneered sides as well. Very common in the mid 20's. These were labor intensive and thus they moved to the 3-ply.

Wow. 8.5 pounds. That is comfortable. Thank you for your answer Jim.
