Here's a hard one to find for sale. I am playing shorter neck banjos these days. This Whyte Laydie is a beauty to look at and hear, whether picked or clawhammered. https://www.banjohangout.org/classified/87011
Hey Janet! I am seeing something that looks like a tube around the pot beneath the shoes, but can't get a good look at it in the pics. What's going on there?
I put a vinyl clear tube on the hooks to protect my thigh. It pops on and off with little holes. If somebody contacts me via my email, I will gladly give them a FaceTime display of the banjo.
It's such a beautiful instrument, I'd take it off your hands if only I could... I just have an overly developed interest in the components and double take when I see something different. All the best!

Don’t see too many with the Gryphon.
What’s interesting is that I bought the banjo at Gryphon music store in Palo Alto. It was meant to be at the time and I used that banjo for years. But the longer neck is not what I want, even when it is 25 1/2”.
