I'm using a different preamp and this is the first complete instrumental I've recorded with it. This is a Ralph Stanley tune called Clinch Mountain Backstep.

Interesting take. Never loses that all-important drive.
gasp......takes breath away Doug....very few are able to do this with the conviction you show.
You sure are an original. Great playing.
Solid as a rock. Very vestal ish!
Great stuff, Doug. Love it.
Very good Doug, enjoyed it.
Great picking, Doug. That is about as fast as this song should ever be played. I cringe when I hear people want to burn it.
I heard some elements of Billy Ray Latham, Doug Dillard, Rob Bourassa, and Ron Stewart in there. Sounds like you listened to a lot of different versions then incorporated a little of each into your own style. Well done.
That was great picking Doug!
Thanks so much for listening to it everyone!! I'm grateful for all the responses!
Nice Doug! My wife recorded us several years ago on an a pocket camera. I was playing my Helix longneck without the resonator. I should have had my Deering or Stelling for more punch. But - you nailed it.
Man, great rendition and I’m all with Cullodin, if the Tempo ain’t perfect then it’s a real mess, great job!!!!
