Although I agree that these are probably homemade and clever, seeing those broken strings tangled up in there, I have to question whether they actually work.

They work smooooth as silk. It hasn't been set up in ages. Need to replace a few parts on a tuner and get rid of the old strings. Just posted pics for a giggle.

You wouldn't have any trouble finding the levers mid-tune, that's for sure :-)!
