I put this together yesterday.Very minimal assembly instructions with that translation thing going on.Found a helpful video on Youtube.Took a couple of hours to finish.
Wow! It was worth the wait.
Very natural feeling of actually rowing.Even the sound of the oars in the water during the pull.At 4 gallons of water in the reservoir the resistance is so close that shutting my eyes lets me easily imagine I'm really rowing out in the harbor.
The harder I pull with my arms and back and push with my legs the more resistance I get from the machine.
The title on the owner's manual is "Rowing Maching".
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, etc...
A neighbor of mine has a 24' room with a 20' swimming pool in the floor. It has an adjustable current that you can swim against. You could also put a dinghy in it and row in place.
I like how my rowing "maching" reminds me of a banjo.I'm considering making an insert between the rails that looks like a banjo fingerboard...maybe Hearts and Flowers design.
What I envisioned when water rower is said.

I love how it's half the price of the same machine in a Nordic.
3 friends have tried it and find it very pleasant and strong.
