Hello members, I recently purchased a Will Van Allen 5 string banjo. I was really surprised to find a 5 string because normally I only see small WVA ukes. It came in what appears to be its well fitting original black hard case. I have done numerous internet searches to find any reference to a Will Van Allen 5 string but have had no success. Can anyone tell me just how rare it is to find a WVA 5 string? The tailpiece is a GROVER PRESTO. Thanking you all in advance. Paul.
Nice British classic era banjo. Sorry, I don't have any information on the banjo but I am getting a slight Abbott vibe.
That said, I am pretty ignorant about British banjos.
My guess would be Dallas based on the headstock scroll inlay, kinda like the Dallas E uke .
I have zero idea as to who made it. Looks to be a wonderful instrument.
These British banjos are beautiful works.
