I confess, the banjo doesn't come until the second verse and it's nothing special. On the quiet chorus after the bridge I did try to mix fingerpicking and clawhammer together in a way I haven't before – and was quite pleased with the results.

Here in Ottawa, Canada, we headed into another round of lockdowns, and I'm spending too much time staring at screens that capture moments from the past when I should be out enjoying the spring weather. Hope you're keeping well, wherever you are. Aand hey, thanks for all the great songs, John.

I think it's time to set down the banjo for awhile and pick up something else.

^^^ Sounds like some angry guy’s hinting at violence....give it a rest, Jan.  Can't you just go off to your right wing conspiracy websites?

Nice. I definitely appreciate that you sat down to pay tribute to John Prine, and his songs.

Thanks!  Singer-songwriter fare isn't particularly my thing, by John was an absolute treasure and left a treasure trove of song behind for us to enjoy.
