This came up in my near-local search, just curious what it might be. And if it's actually anything good, maybe someone closer to Seattle/Tacoma wants it. Probably just a wall hanger, but I'm still curious.

Definitely a common model Lyon and Healy with a lot of added inlay. It's definitely worth the asking price imo.

Concur with Noah. For once, a CL seller without delusions.

I reckon somebody was consuming a lot of acid one winter...

Hey, can somebody chime in with thoughts on common neck woods used by L&H? For example, were they using a lot of cherry? I've recently sold one, and wasn't sure what the neck material was.

I actually think it's pretty cool. At least they didn't put a damn SCOOP in it, right? It's easily worth $40, and might actually play very well.

This one should make you feel a little better. There are still some out there to be found. I have tried to contact this seller but it probably sold pretty quickly....

Oh, they are still out there. Lots of them. People have a better idea of value, but there are still good deals out in the world.

I’ll take Cliftons position on the Seattle banjo that someone enhanced their perspective and had a lot of time on their hands. I like it though...

Thanks guys. Yeah I was wondering what was going on with all that inlay. If I were closer I’d go pick it up just for fun.

Sometimes I wonder whether the folks who put so much time into "Blinging their Banjar" were actually more excited about instrument modification than they were about playing. In that sense, banjos are a slow moving target, as they generally seem to attract people who enjoy tinkering with and modifying things.

These cheaper Lyon & Healy banjos do make a nice little instrument, though. Well worth the asking price.
