Here is an instrumental version, with a slow walk through of the tune, and a version with me singing with a capo on second fret. I love this, it's a proper pub song. It's English, American, and adopted Irish all at the same time. That's cos it's a universal tale of emigration and longing.
Tuning is f#DF#AD. Which I'm having fun with.
Back to Etta Baker now.....

Very nice! Fun tuning too, isn't it. I'll have to brush up on LL, Paddy's day will soon be here. I 've done a few Paddy Day gigs but with Covid maybe I'll just have to do a few tunes/songs on the street until our Govenator runs me off. Ha! banjered

Btw seems that emigration from UK to the states is still going on in these days: a lot of talk about a copule of young english people giving interviews in America!
